Dr. Alexander Knoll - Managing Director
As founder and managing director of BioGenes, Dr. Alexander Knoll sets the company’s economic strategy and vision. He has held various positions in the life science industry and research, for example at the Humboldt-University, Berlin, FZB Biotechnik GmbH (enzymatic and microbial synthesis of chiral synthesis building blocks) and MolTech GmbH, and has performed in leadership, project management and marketing roles.

Dr. Sergej Ovodov - Scientific Director
With his profound scientific knowledge and long experience in bio-organic chemistry Dr. Sergej Ovodov, co-founder of BioGenes, oversees the company´s scientific strategy and takes the lead across all scientific aspects of the company. He took over leading roles at the department for protein research at the Academy of Sciences, UdSSR and at FZB Biotechnik GmbH (cell-free biotechnology).
