BioGenes develops antibodies and assays (ELISA) to support customers (CROs or other partners) for use in pharmacokinetic (PK) studies.

Assays (ELISA) from BioGenes can be used for preclinical or clinical PK studies including

• Test of drug metabolism, drug stability or lot release
• Quantification of cytokines or other proteins produced by cells or in the body
• Detection of phosphorylated receptors as a result of triggered signal transduction
• Detection of host anti-drug antibodies

PK studies are performed to understand drug action in animals or humans. PK studies start with administering of a drug to a subject. At various times blood, plasma or other tissue samples are drawn to analyze drug and metabolite concentrations.
